Summer

Summer is a wonderful time for anyone who is in school. Teachers have time away from their rotten students who do not do their homework and schoolwork. Meanwhile the children get to do whatever they want. They can go to camp, go swimming at the neighborhood pool or just spend time with your friends. That is what I have done for the past 12 summers. This summer has been different. It started with more work and graduation parties. Since then it has been downtime, work, and hanging out with my amazing girlfriend. That is a huge change from the past. Change is bound to happen and it will effect everyone differently. Some people change for the better while others become potheads and alcoholics who just say they are getting ready for college. I am neither of them and it is very strange seeing people who I used to spend lots of time with doing these things. We always did them in small amounts but now since we are old everything is magnified. I saw a friend at the mall and it felt like a long time since I had last seen him. It had only been two weeks but now since we have gone our separate ways it was rather awkward and felt as if we were more aquantinces. If this is what is going to happen to all my
friends, life is going to change a lot. Am I really ready for this? I am not even a full adult yet. Am i really ready to meet a whole new group of kids and let them into a life where I have always been sheltered. Maybe I am, maybe I am not. Only time will tell. Update later.
